Marvin the Martian could be real…

Well, no.  He’s a Looney Tune cartoon, but scientists think they may have discovered water on Mars.  Water equals the prospect of life on the red planet.  For decades humans have been dreaming of aliens and now there may be proof that they could exist.

“Our quest on Mars has been to ‘follow the water,’ in our search for life in the universe, and now we have convincing science that validates what we’ve long suspected,” said John Grunsfeld, astronaut and associate administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington. “This is a significant development, as it appears to confirm that water -- albeit briny -- is flowing today on the surface of Mars.” [1]

It is unclear if the salt content of the water on Mars is low enough to support Earth life, but the possible existence of water on the planet could mean that life once thrived there or/and microscopic life still strives there.  Area 51 doesn’t sound crazy now huh?   Maybe we’ll meet ET and Marvin the Martian sooner than we think.

  1. Because of my path and what I study daily and un-covered along my journey...! I would have to say that as soon as a Hue-Man came up with the character,,, That character became real.
Now as far as making a more logical comment based on Science and mainly Quantum Physics. WATER is only needed to mean LIFE in our limited grasp and comprehensions of what "LIFE" truly means. There are multiple dimensions to existence and even more Universes. I honestly feel MARS had and has LIFE! Not the primitive of what we have labeled LIFE as but a very more complex where as they actually came here and are integrated into our society on a more ,,, let's call it spiritual level, as entities being able to control Hue-Man Bodies.

    2. This is an interesting perspective Frederic. It reminds me of what the jazz musician Sun Ra said about being from Saturn. In the 3rd dimension, we couldn't exist on Saturn, but in a 4-D and above, YES! It's plausible that because of the water on Mars, something that needs it for life, whether it be microscopic, multi-celled, or large, may have existed or continue to exist.

Violette, this is a great article!
